The Day for Elderly Council Members is an annual cooperation event organised by the open Government Programme and non-governmental organisations.
Welcome to the Council for older people day organised by the Ministry of Finance and its partners at the House of the Estates (Snellmaninkatu 9-11, Helsinki) on Wednesday 21.10.2026 at 12 noon. Please bring a photo ID card with you. Please arrive in time to avoid congestion. Live broadcast begins at 12 a.m.
This year, the theme of the Council day for older people is nature, physical activity and encounters as a resource for an ageing Finland. We will hear speeches from the Ombudsman for older people, organisations, public administration and, of course, councils for older people.
A more detailed programme will be updated on the open Government website during the summer.
